Vegan Black Sesame Ice Cream

"My new ice cream recipe is completely vegan, raw and with Asian twang. Today we are making delicious black sesame ice cream! Black sesame seed, which is rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc, is very healthy and beneficial for your heart, skin and bones. Its healthy unsaturated fats help reduce blood sugar and blood cholesterol. It’s also a powerful anti-aging weapon and is even believed to turn grey hair back to normal. According to traditional Chinese medicine, black sesame is good for your liver and eye health, while in Ayurveda black sesame oil is used for oral health. My ice cream base is the well-known cashew cream but I also added some banana to make the mixture lighter and sweeter, and some coconut cream for smoothness. (By the way, you can use this base to make any type of ice cream using cocoa or cacao powder, coffee, berries or whatever you want. Also, you don’t have to use all 3, cashew cream and coconut cream or cashew cream and banana are enough.) I grinded a few tablespoons of black sesame seed and a tablespoon of regular sesame seed. The sweetness comes from a few dates soaked in water as well as from the banana."
