No Fool Cobbler

You'd have to be a fool to pass up this beyond easy cobbler recipe. Made with the fruit of your choice, this No Fool Cobbler is a dessert that always pleases. It's simple baking at its very best. Just a few basic ingredients, a few easy steps and several hungry mouths to feed and you're good to go. If you're looking for easy to make dessert recipes for your next family get-together, don't pass this one up.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoon margarine or butter
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cup fresh fruit (your choice of peaches, blackberries, blueberries, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Melt margarine in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
     
  3. Combine flour, sugar and milk in bowl and mix well. Spread into prepared pan.
     
  4. Spoon cups of desired fruit onto the batter.
     
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes until lightly browned and center springs back when touched.

 

 

Note: You might want to vary the amount of sugar depending on the fruit you use.
