Blender Sweet Butter

Blender Sweet Butter is great as a gift with fresh bread or to make for your guests. It makes a small amount, but you will love the sweet, fresh taste.

Notes

I have made this many times. If you're doing it to be fun and creative, great! But it's cheaper to buy butter, as this makes a very small amount. I add about 1/2 teaspoon salt to preserve it better. Lots of fun to give as a gift with homemade bread.


 

Cooking Time15 min

Ingredients

  • 1 cup light whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup ice water

Instructions

  1. Chill the blender. Blend cream at high speed about 15 seconds, or until the cream coats the blades.
     
  2. Add ice water. Continue to blend at high speed until the butter rises to the surface.
     
  3. Strain off the butter. Press out any additional moisture; mold and chill. Keep the liquid residue to add to soup; it is not rich enough to substitute for buttermilk.
