Rabbit Cacciatore

Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 rabbits, cut in pieces
  • butter or margarine
  • 1 large Vidalia onion, sliced into rings
  • 1 can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 can mushroom soup, undiluted
  • salt
  • pepper
  • pinch basil,
  • 1/2 tsp chicken boullion granules

Instructions

Brown rabbit pieces in butter or margarine if desired. Place in bottom of crock, cover with a layer of onion rings, add mushrooms, mushroom soup, salt, pepper, basil, and chicken boullion granules. Cook at low all day. Serve with potatoes or broad noodles, or rice.
