Chili Con Queso Dip

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. pgk mild Mexican cheese spread with Jalapeno peppers (Velveeta)
  • 1 1/2 cup thick and chunky salsa
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

Makes about 2 1/2 c.. Cut cheese into cubes. Place in a 3 1/2 qt slow cooker. Mix in salsa. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 1 1/2 hours, stirring once or twice, until cheese is melted and smooth. Remove the lid, increase heat to high, and cook 1 to 1 1/4 hours longer, until mixture is hot throughout. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
