Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter flavor Crisco
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup peppermint candy, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment.
- Cream Crisco and sugars in large bowl at medium speed. Beat in egg.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend gradually into creamed mixture.
- Fold in crushed candy until evenly distributed.
- Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets.
- Bake for 11-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes, then remove to cooling racks.
