My Favorite Snowball Cookies

When I have a big plate of Christmas cookies, I always go for the snowball cookies first. This recipe for My Favorite Snowball Cookies is one that will stay in the family for generations. Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 6 ounce semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
     
  2. Cream butter and sugar together. Add vanilla, water and salt. Add flour to creamed mixture. Add chips and nuts.
     
  3. Form into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while warm.
