Creme de Cacao Torte

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c butter
  • 1 2/3 c sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 ts vanilla
  • 2 c flour
  • 2/3 c cocoa
  • 1 1/4 ts baking soda
  • 1/4 ts baking powder
  • 1 1/3 c milk
  • 2 tb creme de cacao (optional)

Instructions

Yield: 10 Servings. Prehaeat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar til light and creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat till well blended. Sift flour, cocoa, soda and baking powder and mix liqueur into milk. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk mix beginning and ending with dry. I would bake in a tube pan or possibly 2 9" round pans. Check after 30 minutes with a cake tester. (insert and check if the cake is done) or press lightly with finger. I believe it will take longer than 30 minutes but I have worked out these directions myself.
