"Delicious thick and hearty chicken stew cooked in the southern way! This is comfort food at it's best and it's super simple to make. Starting with a traditional roux, then sweating down the vegetables adding a lot of delicious flavor, chicken stew doesn't get any easier. At this point you just bring to the boil, then turn down and simmer for a few hours. What you are left with is a moreish pot of southern comfort food!"

  • 1 each Whole Chicken, approx. 3-4lb, cut up
  • 1 tablespoon Creole Seasoning
  • 3 cup Canola Oil
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1 each Large Yellow Onion, diced
  • 1 each Large Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 each Large Stalk of Celery, diced
  • 4 each Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 6 cup Chicken Bone Broth
  • 1 pound Baby Carrots
