Green Bay Casserole

Ingredients

  • 10 ounce package of frozen chopped broccoli
  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup chopped canned green chilie
  • 1 jar (about 2 ounces) pimentos, chopped
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Rinse broccoli with hot water to separate; drain well. Saute onion and broccoli in butter until onion is tender. Combine with eggs and milk.  Stir in cheese, rice, chilies, pimentos, salt, and Worcestershire sauce.
     
  3. Turn into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Set in shallow pan of hot water. Bake about 40 minutes, or until set in center.
