Easy Cheeseburger Noodles

There's nothing better than a cheesy, easy pasta recipe. This flavorful recipe combines the ever so loved ingredients of a cheeseburger and places them atop a bed of egg noodles. Creamy, cheesy and delicious, you'll love it.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce medium or wide egg noodles, uncooked
  • 1 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup dry Italian style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoon canola oil
  • 1 can (14.5-ounces) fat-free chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup extra sharp Cheddar cheese. shredded
  • 1/2 cup Velveeta or other processed cheese
  • 2 tablespoon sweet cream butter

Instructions

  1. Combine ground sirlion, breadcrumbs, onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and egg; mix well. Shape into approximately  3/4-inch meatballs.
     
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet coated with cooking spray. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Drain well.
     
  3. Combine chicken broth, water, ketchup and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt; add to skillet. Bring to a boil; stir in noodles, making sure it is covered by the liquid.
     
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until noodles are done.
     
  5. Stir in sour cream, butter and cheeses. Cook until thoroughly heated and mixture thickens, about 5 minutes. (Do not boil.)
