White Trash Candy

This no bake dessert recipe may be called candy, but it's more of a snack mix than anything else. Whatever you choose to call it, this white trash candy is one thing for sure; it's supremely sweet and oh so delicious. Made with just seven ingredients, all of which are easily found at your local grocery store, this simple dessert recipe is a snap to whip up and it great to serve up for parties or for a game day snack. This is one of the most addictive no bake recipes we've found, so be forewarned!

There are a few different styles of white trash candy out there, but this is one of our favorites. It uses powdered sugar and Golden Grahams cereal for a sweet-and-crunchy snacking experience that just can't be beat. We love including some raisins as well, but it's totally fine to omit them if you're not a fan. Enjoy this yummy no bake snack!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 (12-ounce) box Golden Graham cereal
  • 1 box golden raisins
  • 3 cup roasted salted peanuts
  • 1 box powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter, chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Fold in the cereal, raisins and peanuts to coat.

  2. Pour the box of powdered sugar over the mixture and with a fork in each hand, stir gently to coat with the sugar. The mixture will be loose and crumbly, resembling a snack trail mix.

  3. Cool and store in airtight containers.
