Goan Coconut Barfi

Ingredients

  • 1 medium size fresh coconut
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 5-6 green cardamoms, powdered
  • 5-6 pistachio chopped
  • 5-6 almonds, blenched and chopped

Instructions

Grate coconut finely. Stir together coconut, sugar and milk over slow fire. Continue to stir till mixture becomes very thick. Add cardamom powder. Pour on a greased plate, patting evenly. Decorate surface with chopped nuts. Press and pat gently, and allow to cool and set. Cut into pieces as you like.
