So Good Sock It To Me Cake

It may have a funny sounding name, but when it comes to flavor, this So Good Sock It To Me Cake is no-nonsense. Made with cinnamon, brown sugar, chocolate chips and a golden cake mix, this delicious dessert is beyond compare. Plus the addition of sour cream makes this one of the most moist recipes with cake mix we've tasted. Try it out and see why this sock it to me cake is "so good."

Ingredients

  • 1 package Duncan Hines golden cake mix (reserve 2 tablespoons)
  • 3/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 8 ounce sour cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon, or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour bundt pan.
     
  2. Mix chocolate chips, cinnamon, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of the cake mix in a small bowl. Set aside.
     
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine remaining cake mix, canola oil, sugar, 4 eggs and 8 ounces of sour cream. Blend with hand mixer for approximately 3 minutes until smooth.
     
  4. Pour 2/3 of the batter into the bundt pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chip mixture onto the batter evenly. Top with remaining 1/3 of the batter.
     
  5. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour (check with cake tester after 45 minutes. If still wet, test every 5 minutes).
     
  6. Cool for 20 minutes, then invert to cool completely.
