Ingredients

  • 4 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1 1/4 cup buttermilk (add more if mixture is too dry)
  • 4 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 stick butter (2 tablespoons melted; remaining can be kept at room temp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Spray 2 cake pans with cooking spray and set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, combine Bisquick, buttermilk, and sugar. Stir to combine, add more buttermilk if needed. Dough will be moist and sticky. Set aside.

  3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons melted butter. Set aside.

  4. Generously (very generously) flour working surface.  Turn out dough and pat into a ball. Roll into a rectangular shape, getting dough to about a 1/2-inch thickness.

  5. Spread remaining softened butter over the surface of the dough.  Sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon mixture.  Gently press mixture into the dough.

  6. From the long end, roll dough into a log. Cut into 10 even pieces and place rolls into prepared backing dishes.

  7. Bake at 375 degrees F for 25-30 minutes, just until the tops are golden.

  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cook for 5-10 minutes. Top with your favorite frosting.
