"This sausage gravy recipe is rich and creamy and takes under 30 minutes to make. It's the perfect comfort food breakfast. Make it for your family on a Sunday morning (or afternoon!) or serve it for a crowd. People love it! It's perfectly seasoned fro great flavor. It's all made in one skillet. Make your own homemade biscuits or cook up a can of prepared biscuits. Serve the sausage gravy on top of hot biscuits and you have a perfect meal! "

Ingredients

  • 1 (1-pound) sausage, mild
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can prepared biscuits
  1. Cook biscuits according to package instructions. While biscuits are in the oven, start the gravy.

  2. Place sausage in medium-large skillet and brown sausage over medium-high heat, breaking sausage into small pieces. Cook until just brown. Reduce heat to low.

  3. Gradually add flour to cooked sausage and stir until flour is combined with sausage.

  4. Add milk and stir.

  5. Continue to cook over low-medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. This will take up to 10 or more minutes.

  6. Add in seasoned salt and pepper.
