French Toast with Cream Cheese Filling

Packed with cream cheese, cinnamon and raisins , this wonderful breakfast recipe will become your new favorite. Enjoy with maple syrup or on it's own. After your first bite, you'll only be able to think of french toast recipes when someone mentions breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of white bread
  • 1 extra large egg
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 of something

Instructions

  1. In shallow dish mix egg, milk, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 teaspoon sugar and set aside.

  2. In separate bowl make filling: mix cream cheese with ½ teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon sugar, pinch of cinnamon and raisins until well blended.

  3. Spread filling on one piece of bread and cover it with second one. Make the same to other 4 pieces of bread.

  4. Dunk the sandwiches on both sides in egg and milk mixture.

  5. Preheat large skillet to medium heat, then add 1 tablespoon of butter and melt it. Place French toasts on a skillet and fry them for 2 minutes on one side or until get caramelized. Flip to the other side and add the rest of the butter. Fry them for another 1-2 minutes on the other side or until beautiful and brown.

  6. On a plate mix the rest of sugar and the rest of cinnamon.

  7. Sprinkle French toast with sugar cinnamon mix and apply to you face!
