Red Lobster's Famous Biscuits

Red Lobsters Famous Biscuits

Seafood aside, Red Lobster's Famous Biscuits are one of the best things about going there. Those buttery, flakey, Cheddar biscuits are so good, we had to figure out how to make the recipe ourselves. While this may not be an exact match, we think it's pretty darn close. This copycat red lobster biscuits recipe is great with a casual weeknight dinner, but it also is a perfect idea for the holidays as well. What Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner couldn't use a basket of these delicious biscuits to complement the meal?

Ingredients

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 6 tablespoon cold butter, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • For the Topping
  • 3 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, garlic and salt. Whisk to mix completely.

  3. Add butter and cut in with pastry cutter until the butter is the size of small peas.

  4. Add the cheese and stir until the cheese is coated with flour. With the mixer running on low, add the buttermilk and mix just until the liquid is absorbed. Do not over mix at this stage.

  5. Scoop dough into even mounds on the bake sheet, placing them 2 inches apart.

  6. Bake immediately for about 15 minutes the biscuits will be golden brown when done.

  7. While biscuits bake, place butter, parsley, garlic and salt into a bowl. When the biscuits come out of the oven immediately brush them with the butter and herb mixture. Serve while warm.
