Best Retro Salisbury Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chopped chuck
  • 1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2/3 cup hot water
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes

Instructions

  1. With the chopped chuck, form and pan-fry four patties. Remove patties from pan.
     
  2. Saute mushrooms in butter for about 5 minutes. Remove mushrooms from pan.
     
  3. Blend in flour and curry powder. Add boiled water with dissolved bouillon cubes, stirring until smooth and thick.
     
  4. Add mushrooms to sauce. Pour over cooked patties and serve.
