Homestyle Baked Beans

This homemade baked beans recipe calls for three different types of beans and bacon to give that homestyle taste we know and love. These beans are a great side dish for a family picnic or backyard barbecue.

Ingredients

  • 3 can (16-ounce) baked beans
  • 1 can (14-ounce) kidney beans
  • 1 can (16-ounce) butter beans
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 2 prepared mustard
  • 2 cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Drain kidney and butter beans; combine with baked beans.
     
  2. Fry cut-up bacon with onion and add entire contents of skillet to beans.
     
  3. Bring onion, brown sugar, chili sauce, mustard and vinegar to a simmer and add to beans.
     
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F. for one hour, stirring halfway through.
