Creamy Banana Split Squares

Banana splits are a classic summer dessert that reminds you of your childhood and never gets old. These Creamy Banana Split Squares are a delicious combination of all the flavors of a banana split: strawberry, banana, pineapple and more! It's a cheesecake recipe topped with fruit, so not only is it delicious, but looks beautiful when it's done. Plus, this dessert is super simple to make and can be made ahead of time for a party.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 3 package (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup mashed banana
  • 1 cup strawberries, halved
  • 1 banana, sliced, tossed with 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 (8-ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Mix crumbs, butter and 1/4 cup of the sugar in a medium bowl. Press mixture into the bottom of greased or foil-lined 13x9 inch pan.
     
  3. Beat cream cheese, remaining 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla with electric mixer until well blended. Add eggs; mix until blended. Stir in mashed banana. Pour into crust.
     
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until center is almost set. Remove from oven and let cool. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.
     
  5. Top with strawberries, sliced banana and pineapple. Sprinkle with nuts and drizzle with chocolate sauce, if desired. Cut into squares and serve.
