Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies

Do you have a favorite recipe for peanut butter brownies? Well, this Chewy Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies is MY favorite! With semi-sweet chocolate and plenty of peanut butter, it will be your favorite too!

Ingredients

  • 4 ounce (4 squares) semisweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
     
  2. Line an 8-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
     
  3. Combine chocolate, butter and peanut butter in a medium saucepan.
     
  4. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until smooth.
     
  5. Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar.
     
  6. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; add eggs and vanilla.
     
  7. Mix thoroughly.
     
  8. Stir in flour and salt.
     
  9. Transfer batter to prepared pan.
     
  10. Bake until set, 35 to 40 minutes.
     
  11. A toothpick will test with some moist crumbs.
     
  12. Brownies will firm a bit as they cool.
     
  13. Cool in pan 20 minutes.
     
  14. Carefully lift foil from pan and cool brownies completely.
     
  15. Freeze until firm or as long as 2 weeks.
     
  16. To serve, cut brownies into squares or triangles.
     
  17. Combine cocoa and confectioners' sugar; sift over brownies.
