Lo mein

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fettuccine
  • bit of vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp Hoisin sauce or black bean sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. of Oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of hot chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Light Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. of peanut butter.
  • fresh shrimp

Instructions

Cook a pound of fettuccine for about 12 minutes according to package directions, rinse in cold water, drain and toss with a bit of vegetable oil to coat. Combine soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, hoisin or black bean sauce, oyster sauce, hot chili sauce, sugar, sesame oil and peanut butter. Buy fresh shrimp, peel it, boil the shells in a bit of water to make a strong stock. Stir fry the shrimp and and any veggies, add the stock and sauce, and throw in the cooked noodles.
