Beef and Asparagus Stir fry

Bring some ethnic flavor to your dinner table by making one of the best beef stir fry recipes. This Beef and Asparagus Stir-Fry is easy and has amazing taste.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons water, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/10 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 pound boneless round steak (3/4" thick)
  • 3 Tblsp cooking oil, divided
  • 2 cup fresh asparagus pieces or broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced cauliflower
  • 1 small sweet red pepper, julienned (can substitute green pepper)
  • 1 small onion, cut into 1/4
  • 2 beef bouillon granules
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • Hot cooked rice, to serve with

Instructions

  1. Combine cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water, salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce.
     
  2. Slice beef into thin 3 inch strips; toss with the cornstarch mixture.
     
  3. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, stir-fry half of the beef in 1 tablespoons oil until cooked as desire; remove from the skillet.
     
  4. Repeat with remaining beef and 1 tablespoons oil.
     
  5. Stir-fry the asparagus and cauliflower in remaining oil for 4 minutes.
     
  6. Add red pepper and onion; stir-fry for 2 minutes. Return beef to skillet.
     
  7. Combine the bouillon, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar and remaining water; add to the skillet.
     
  8. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Serve over rice.
