Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh cheese curds
  • 2 baking mix (such as Bisquik)
  • 1 cup beer (of your choice)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large heavy pot, heat oil over medium-high heat to 350 degree F.

  2. Meanwhile, combine baking mix, eggs, beer, salt and pepper in a large bowl.

  3. Dip cheese curds in mixture and carefully lower into the oil.  Fry for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  4. Remove from oil to a paper towel-lined tray.  Sprinkle with salt, let cool and serve.
