Curry Turkey with Veggies

Ground turkey is tasty and healthier for you than ground beef. Use these turkey cooking instructions to create a spicy dish that is versatile and delicious. Because this recipe is flexible in use, it is the best way to cook a turkey.

Recipe tastes great in a wrap, in a sandwich, with pasta and even as a pizza topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, crushed
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 8 ounces frozen green peas
  • 3 tablespoons curry powder

Instructions

  1. Combine ground turkey, salt, black pepper, garlic, ginger, and curry powder in a bowl and mix well. Heat oil on medium heat, saute onion until slightly golden brown.
     
  2. Add turkey mixture, mix well, cover and cook for 15 minutes or until turkey meat is cooked. Stir occasionally.
     
  3. Add frozen peas, stir well to coat them, cover and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
     
  4. When the peas are soft and tender, turn off heat.
