Five-Hour Beef Stew

This recipe for Five-Hour Beef Stew is completely effortless. Just put all the ingredients in a casserole, put the beef stew in the oven, and in five hours' time, you'll have a savory stew for dinner!

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds stew beef, cubed
  • 6 carrots, cut in pieces
  • 4 onions, quartered
  • 1 cup celery, in pieces
  • 4 potatoes, quartered
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons minute tapioca
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees F.
     
  2. Mix everything together, including raw meat. Place in large casserole.
     
  3. Cover and cook in oven for 5 hours. Do not take lid off until done. Veggies should be left in good-sized pieces.
