Easy Buttermilk Biscuits

Learn how to make buttermilk biscuits that are soft and tender with this super easy Bisquick recipe. Let Bisquick guide you through this quick biscuit recipe into a world of flavor. Homemade Bisquick recipes are always tasty.

Serves: 18

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup club soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups Bisquick biscuit mix
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
     
  2. Combine butter, sugar, egg, buttermilk, club soda, salt and Bisquick. Knead the dough by hand until smooth.
     
  3. Flour your hands. Pat the dough flat to 3/4-inch thick on waxed paper. Cut out biscuits.
     
  4. Bake for 12 minutes or unitl golden brown.

Grumpy should try the recipe before commenting on it. I have been a great cook for over 50 years, YES, I am a Grandmother, ... and most of the time bisquick is a good product as well as a time-saver! Shame on you...

Sorry, BUT any recipe that calls for bisquick is neither VINTAGE nor CLASSIC. I suggest you try to find some really OLD cook books ( from the days when they used REAL food ) and try again.
