Beef and Cheese Pie

This hearty and delicious pie will satisfy the whole family! You and your kids will certainly want a second helping of this cheesy, savory delight.

Serves: 6

Cooking Time: 25 min

  • 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
  • 1/4 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup cut green beans
  • 8 ounces can crescent rolls
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup tomato sauce and mushrooms
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 egg; slightly beaten
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Fry ground beef,onion and green bell pepper in a large frying pan. Drain fat.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, beans, and seasoning. Simmer while preparing crust.
  4. Separate crescent rolls into 8 triangles.
  5. Place in an ungreased 9" pie pan. Press bottom and sides to form a crust.
  6. Combine egg and 1 cup cheese. Spread over crust evenly.
  7. Spoon hot meat mixture into crust. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
