Simple BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

Everyone loves a good barbecue pulled pork recipe, and this Simple BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich couldn't be easier to make. Your slow cooker does all the work, and you reap all the delicious benefits of this down-south classic.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless pork sirloin steaks
  • 1 baguette
  • Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cube chicken stock dissolved in 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients together.
     
  2. Put the meat in the slow cooker and cover it with sauce. Pop the lid on and set on high for 5 hours.
     
  3. Take the baguette and cut it into 4 pieces. Cut each piece almost all the way through and then open it. Pop them in the toaster oven for a couple of minutes.
     
  4. Take the pork out of the slow cooker, put it on a plate, and flake it with a fork.
     
  5. Take each piece of baguette and cover it with pork. Pour a little bit of sauce on top.
     
  6. Put a small amount of sauce in a serving dish for dunking.
