Scrumptious 7 Layer Salad

7 Layer Salad is huge, hearty and filling. If you are looking for easy picnic recipes, this dish, made with crunchy celery, crisp bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, and a plethora of other savory ingredients, is sure to be a big hit at a picnic or a party.

Ingredients

1 medium head lettuce
1/2 cup cut green pepper
1 package unthawed peas
2 cups mayonnaise
4 (1 cup ) grated sharp cheese
1/2 cup finely cut celery
2 tablespoons sugar
6 to 8 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
5 hard boiled eggs, chopped

Instructions

Layer salad by ingredients in a 9 x 13 pan.
In separate bowl, mix together sugar and mayo. Spread over salad.
Crumble bacon on top. Cover tightly and refrigerate.

Lettuce, celery, bells, cheese, eggs,frozen peas then mayo mix and crumbled bacon. I would ususally make it the night before to marry the flavors. I use a glass bowl so it looks pretty when served at the table or a party.
