Just made but I always add around a Teaspoon of Celery Seed. And use a little less sugar.

Coleslaw made with whipping cream or sour cream is different. I've heard of using buttermilk and have even tried yogurt before...which was no doubt an epic fail, but I'm kinda curious about the ingredients in this recipe. Don't you normally have to let the cabbage soak in the dressing or sauce you make it in? I'm thinking the whipping cream would make it super creamy and rich, the only thing missing is some coarsely ground pepper!

My Mom made this for every holiday and it is delicious! However, she shredded the cabbage and then poured vinegar on it (about a cup) and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight. Drain off the vinegar. Put the sugar, whipping cream and salt in a bowl and beat until it is stiff like whipped cream, then pour over the cabbage and mix. So good it's almost like a dessert!

great thanks
