Ingredients
  • 2 cups prunes
  • 2 cups dried apples
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 7 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions

Wash prunes, remove pits, chop. Wash apples, remove cores. Combine apples and 6 cups water in a medium sized pot, simmer 45 min. Combine syrup, vinegar, 1 1/2 cups water, spices and salt in large pot; boil 2 minutes. Add prunes; simmer 10 min. Add apples and raisins; simmer about 20 minutes or until flavors are blended. Allow to cool. Pack in freshly sterilized jars. Seal.
