Chutney

Ingredients
  • 8 cups chopped apples
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 sweet red peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 2 lbs. seeded raisins, chopped
  • 2 pods hot peppers, chopped
  • 2 Tbs each black and white mustard seed
  • 4 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 4 cups brown sugar
  • 2 Tbs ground ginger
  • 2 tsps vegetable salt
  • 2 tsps allspice
Instructions

Combine all ingredients in large kettle. Bring slowly to boil; boil until vegetables tender and chutney thick. Pour boiling hot into hot sterilised jars and seal.
