Traditional Southern Pecan Pie

This is the real thing - pure sweetness and sugary crunch. Prepare this syrupy-sweet pie for a picnic.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 unbaked pie shell
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients well. Add pecans.
     
  2. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 359 degrees F until firm (about 45 to 60 minutes).
