Jack Daniel's Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie

Man up that pecan pie with a shot of whiskey! This isn't your grandma's pecan pie.

Notes

Makes 6-8 servings.

Ingredients

  • 3 extra large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup Jack Daniels
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup whole pecans
  • (10-inch) pie crust, unbaked

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine eggs, sugar, butter, syrup, and whiskey. Mix well and strain. Sprinkle most of the chips over bottom of crust. Cover with pecans.
     
  2. Pour filling over chips and pecans. Sprinkle top with remaining chips. Bake 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and the edge comes out clean. Let cool 30 min before cutting.
