Easy Peach Cobbler A la Mode

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced peaches (about 6 peaches)
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions

  1. Combine peaches and 1/2 cup sugar; let stand 15 minutes or until a syrup forms.
     
  2. Melt butter at 350 degrees in an 11x7 baking dish.
     
  3. Stir together remaining 1/2 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk; pour mixture over melted butter. (DO NOT STIR.)
     
  4. Spoon peaches over mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
     
  5. Serve warm cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

Makes 6 - 8 servings.
