Diner Style Strawberries & Cream Pie
There's nothing like finishing your last bite of dinner and then immediately going to a decedent slice of fruit pie. Diner Style Strawberries & Cream Pie is just like the kind you get at your local diner. One of our fruitiest pie recipes, it is loaded with fresh strawberries and a cream cheese center that make each and every bite absolutely divine. Finish up your dinner and treat yourself to a slice of pie tonight.
Ingredients
- 1 pre-baked 9 inch pie crust
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, washed, hulled
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add sugar and almond extract; blend well. Fold in whipping cream.

Gently pour into pre-baked pie crust. Arrange strawberries, carefully over the filling. Chill.
- Melt chocolate chips and unsalted butter in a small pan over low heat, or in a double boiler. Stir continuously, until smooth. Drizzle over strawberries. Chill for several hours or overnight.
