Dominos Copycat Cinna Stix

When it comes to ordering the pizza on pizza night, it's hard to say no to Cinna Stix, one of our favorite pastry recipes. Our recipe for Dominos Copycat Cinna Stix tastes just like the real thing, and are easier to make than you think. Not only are they easy to make, but you can also save money by making them yourself. It doesn't get any better than that. Light, fluffy and sweet, they are perfect for dessert, or a little snack during the day. Don't turn down these sweet little sticks and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • For the Sticks:
  • 1 (16-ounces) package of pizza dough or phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted and divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar.
  • For the Icing:
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

For the Sticks:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Roll out dough into a thin rectangle.
     
  2. Cut the rectangle into 16 long strips.  Combine the sugars, and cinnamon in a bowl and mix well.
     
  3. Brush the dough with half of the melted butter and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mix on top of each piece.
     
  4. Place the pieces on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

 

For the Icing:

  1. Combine all of the indgredients and mix. Add more milk if you want a runnier diping sauce.

 

To Assumble:

  1. Brush them with left over melted butter and sprinkle wth left over cinnamon mixture. You can either top each stick with the icing or use the icing as a dipping sauce.
