This easy, flavorful, one-skillet supper from Campbell's Kitchen takes pantry ingredients and combines them to make a delicious dish that's sure to become a family favorite. Stove-Top Cheeseburger Pasta uses just four ingredients, so you won't spend a lot of time gathering everything together. This pasta dish is a great weeknight meal that's easy to turn to in a pinch. It's also easy to customize to your family's particular tastes.

Serves: 5 (about 1 cup each)

Preparation Time: 5 min

Cooking Time: 20 min

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's Condensed Tomato Soup (Regular or Healthy Request)
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups uncooked medium shell-shaped pasta
Instructions
  1. Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.
  2. Stir the soups, water and pasta in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium. Cook for 10 minutes or until the pasta is tender, stirring often.

Notes

Cost per recipe: $7.23

Serving Suggestion: Serve with carrot & celery sticks with ranch dressing for dipping. For dessert serve store-bought brownies topped with vanilla ice cream.

I found this quite bland when following the recipe exactly...so I adjusted. I always double recipes like this because my guys are healthy eaters and I rarely measure. So...first I followed the recipe exactly except for adding more shells and meat. Bland. I added in some of our favorite seasonings along with salt and pepper. Better. Then I noticed it was a brown color, not the creamy orange expected. So, I added in another can of cheddar soup...not tomato...I left that at one can. It still wasn't quite right so I tossed in about 1/2 - 3/4 cup marble cheese...the real stuff, not processed. That did it! When I served dinner, my guys were amazed that it tasted "just like hamburger helper"...which I assume was the goal of the recipe. There was just enough leftover for a small lunch serving tomorrow. I assumed I'd get another full dinner but they couldn't get enough. I'll be making this again because they just love it!
