Macaroni with Cream

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. shell style macaroni
  • 3 pints heavy cream
  • 12 ounces grated Swiss cheese
  • 4 oz.s grated cheddar cheese
  • butter
  • salt, pepper, nutmeg
Instructions

Cook macaroni in a large pot until partially done. Drain well. Return macaroni to the pot and add the cream and cook for 6 minutes on med-low, stirring occasionally. Stir in the Swiss cheese and mix well. Add the cheddar cheese and mix well. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Place mixture in a large ovenproof casserole dish and dot with some butter. Bake 5 to 6 minutes on 450F to 500F or long enough just to brown the top. Yield 12 servings.
