Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients
  • 225 grams elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 350 grams creamed cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Instructions

4 Servings. Alternate layers of macaroni, cheddar and cottage cheese in a greased 2 liter baking dish, beginning with macaroni and ending with the cheddar cheese. Melt the butter, stir in the flour to make a smooth mixture. Blend in the milk gradually. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened - about 2 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour the sauce over the macaroni and cheese. Bake at 190 C for 30-35 minutes.
