Fudge Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 1 tablespoon lightcorn syrup
  • dash of salt
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions

Mix granulated sugar and cocoa in 2-quart saucepan. Stir in milk, margarine, corn syrup and salt. heat to boiling, stirring frequently. Boil 3 minutes, stirring occasionally; cool. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla. Frosts one 8- or 9-inch cake layer
