Festive Halloween Bundt Cake

No tricks here--this Festive Halloween Bundt Cake is the perfect treat for a Halloween bash. An orange frosting center makes a pleasant surprise for all who try this delectable Halloween cake. It's a classic dessert recipe with a festive holiday twist.

Cooking Time: 45 min

Ingredients
  • baking spray
  • 3 eggs
  • food dye (yellow, red)
  • 1 box of Devil's food cake mix
  • 1 container of chocolate frosting
  • 1 container of vanilla frosting
  • toppings, to taste (candy corn, marshmallow ghosts)
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 1/4 cups water
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Follow directions on box of cake mix.
  3. Mix for 40 seconds; do not over-mix batter.
  4. Spray bundt pan generously with cooking spray.
  5. Pour batter into bundt pan.
  6. Place bundt pan on baking tray and bake for 45 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool cake completely.

 

Frosting:

  1. Mix vanilla frosting in a bowl; add 10 drops of yellow dye and 1 drop of red dye to the frosting.
  2. Keep mixing frosting and adding 10 yellow / 1 red dye until desired color is achieved.
  3. Fill decorator bag with tip with orange frosting.
  4. Push the decorator tip into the bottom of the bundt cake and pump frosting into the bottom.
  5. Melt the chocolate frosting in a small pot over medium heat.
  6. Stir chocolate until it is completely melted.
  7. Pour melted frosting over the bundt cake to cover cake completely.
  8. Add festive toppings.
  9. Let the toppings set for a few minutes and serve.

Items you need:

  • bundt pan
  • cooling rack
  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • electric mixer
  • whisk, spatula, spoon
