Baked Rhubarb

Baked not fried! Bake your rhubarb in the oven with this rhubarb recipe. If you want a sweet treat that will melt in your mouth, then you have to try this rhubarb!

Cooking Time: 25 min

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds rhubarb, peeled and cut in 3 to 4 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • dash of salt
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. Arrange the rhubarb in a 1-1/2 -quart casserole with a cover.
     
  3. Add the water, sugar to taste, and salt.
     
  4. Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until tender.
     
  5. Chill and serve.
Notes
  • Cooked rhubarb is good served with heavy cream, sour cream, or with fresh strawberries if you like.
