I have to start off this review by saying that I have fond memories of enjoying a box of Red Vines while at the movie theater with my family as a kid. So, right off the bat, I'm partial to this brand of licorice. There's just something about its old-fashioned appeal that keeps me coming back time and time again. Whenever I'm in the candy aisle, I always find myself gravitating towards the Red Vines, and there's something to be said for that.

For almost 90 years, Red Vines has been making premium quality licorice that has an unparalleled taste and texture. It's made from tried-and-true ingredients and created from its original, old-fashioned recipe. With a soft, chewy texture and a distinct appearance that only Red Vines have, this licorice is unlike any other on the market today. Biting into Red Vines is like taking a bite of pure candy heaven; it's perfectly sweet without being overly so. After all, when you've been working with the same recipe for nearly a century, you know you've got candy-making down to a science and an art!

But Red Vines aren't the only candy that the American Licorice Company makes. I had the opportunity to sample some of the company's Sour Punch candy, which is bursting with all sorts of exciting fruity flavors. Perfectly marrying sweet and sour flavors, the Sour Punch candies from American Licorice Company are like a party for your taste buds. They come in all sorts of interesting flavors including Strawberry-Watermelon, Strawberry-Lemonade, Lemon-Lime, Strawberry-Watermelon and more. First introduced in the 1990s, Sour Punch candy is now one of the premiere sour candies on the market, and once taste will show you why!  I couldn't stop eating these mouthwatering candies... they truly were irresistibly sweet!
