This is a great wintertime drink. I like the rim encrusted with the Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark, though I've also tried it without that addition. When I first made this, I didn't have any vodka available, so I used some peppermint schnapps I had on hand. It turned out well, and since peppermint schnapps is basically just vodka and peppermint, it's a decent substitute. I've used peppermint schnapps in hot chocolate before, and the addition of the other liqueurs really makes this special.
