Yummy Chocolate Fondue
If you like chocolate dessert recipes, make this yummy chocolate fondue. I like to eat it with strawberries, small pieces of apple, and sometimes pound cake!
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons Dutch cocoa powder (Hershey's is fine!)
- 4 sticks butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Heat the butter in a fondue pot and clarify.
- To it add the cocoa powder, very slowly, as it will tend to clump if you are stirring rapidly and pouring slowly.
- Then add the sugar and whip until sugar caramelizes (until there is no more gritty texture - you may use powdered sugar too, but this also tends to clump).
- Then add the molasses very slowly and the salt.
- Mix until creamy and slowly bubbly.
