Sweet Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Ingredients

2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup melted margarine
3 tablespoons sugar
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1 (4.5 ounce) container Cool Whip whipped topping
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 large (6-ounce) package strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
10 ounces box frozen strawberries

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Combine pretzels, margarine and sugar for first layer. Put first layer in 9 x 13 pan.
Bake for 8 minutes. Remove to cool.
For the second layer beat sugar into cheese, fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled pretzels.
Third layer is made by mixing Jello with boiling water. Stir to dissolve. Stir in the frozen strawberries.
Mix together and set aside 10 minutes. Pour over cheese mixture. Refrigerate until firm. Cut the salad into squares and serve.
