Sinfully Good Pudding Cake

You're not going to want to share this delicious cake recipe. Sinfully Good Pudding Cake is a moist treat that gets better bite after bite. With every slice you eat, you'll feel devilishly good that you didn't share. Sometimes, certain cake recipes are meant for only one.

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 (8-ounces) package cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tub of Cool Whip, about 2 cups (reserve some for topping)
  • 2 (3-ounces each) boxes instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, butter or margarine and chopped nuts until it roughly forms a ball. Press in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan and bake for 20 minutes. Let crust cool.
  3. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar and Cool Whip, blend well. Spread on top of crust.
  4. Then mix chocolate pudding with milk and pour over cream cheese layer. Top the pudding layer with cool whip. Chill.

Drizzlie chocolate sauce over the top of the Cool Whip just before serving. If you use a different 'flavor' of cake, then you can use topping sauce to complement. I like caramel topping too (would complement a spice cake).

I have been making this for 20+ years. It is really good and extremely easy to make. Also, can use all kinds of flavors of pudding, not just chocolate.
